Curious about dancing in heels?
Friday 14 August
14:00-15:30
📍Villa Canapé
Join this beginner-friendly workshop and learn the basics of heels technique, posture, balance, and movement in a fun and inclusive environment. This workshop is given by Mikael De Geyter.
Mikael (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist born from a multicultural Belgian, Filipino, and Chinese background. Mikael finds liberation through art and fashion and continues to develop their dance practice, with a focus on High Heels, Vogue, Waacking, and House. For them, dance is both a form of healing and self-expression, a way to explore and communicate their body, identity, and sexuality. Mikael’s approach to heels centers on elegance, sensuality, and challenging the oversexualization often associated with the style.
No experience is needed, but please bring your own heels.
This workshop is free! Places are limited, so be sure to register via the form below in advance to secure your spot! Registration opens on August 1 at 10:00 AM.
